Dead Sea Clay + Ultra Matte Styling Cream Bundle

What it is. The Dead Sea Clay and the Matte Styling Cream, together. The cream is the base layer: hair gel without the crunch or the shine. The clay goes on top for a strong, remoldable, all-day hold and a true matte finish. Both made by hand in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Who it's for. If you want more hold than the cream gives you on its own, and you still want it to look like your hair, I would suggest running these two together. It's for the guy with thick, coarse or unruly hair who wants it to stay put without the greasy look, and for the guy who wears a hat or a hard hat all day and needs to restyle when it comes off. If you already use one of them, this is the easy way to try the other.

How to use it. Cream first. Put a couple of dime-sized scoops on damp hair and blow dry it in. Once your hair is bone dry, emulsify the clay in your hands until it feels like wet, smooth mud. Short hair takes one dime-sized scoop. Two or three inches on top takes two nickel-sized scoops. Sides and back first, then the top. Finish with a fine-tooth comb or your fingers, and restyle it any time.

How it feels. Light underneath, true matte on top. The cream feels like it's in your hair, but it won't be crunchy. The clay holds all day without flaking or cracking. Your hair still feels like hair.

What makes it different. The clay holds with minerals: Dead Sea clay and Black Hawaiian Sea Salt on a wax-based hold that won't dry out your hair. The cream is water based and packs a lot of punch for how light it is. Both made by hand in small batches, and both wash out with water. No backdoor chemist.

Why guys hesitate. Two products sounds like a long routine. It isn't. The cream goes in while you blow dry, and the clay goes on once you're dry. And the clay looks rough in the jar.
